About
The Unframed Arts Collective
The Unframed Arts Collective is a community-driven organization born from a shared desire to support those facing financial and housing challenges in New York. What began as a small initiative focused on art and conversation has grown into a vital resource, offering both creative spaces and practical support. Our collective is made up of volunteers and community members working together to create a safe, inclusive environment where individuals can find connection, healing, and empowerment through art and mutual support.

Where Art Takes Root is our second annual fundraiser. Contributions raised through this event will directly support our programming and operations for the remainder of 2026.
Your generosity will help fund children’s and adult art workshops, which have previously featured activities inspired by comic books, printmaking, and other creative practices, including our next Open Garden Studio at Los Amigos Garden and back-to-school programming.
Funds will also support the preparation of our third exhibition, City of Dreamers, which will highlight stories of resilience, identity, and solidarity within New York City’s migrant and immigrant communities.
All of our programs and services are offered to unhoused, immigrant, and underserved New Yorkers who seek accessible art spaces in their communities. Please consider making a contribution today, any amount will be greatly appreciated!
